New colors were added to the existing palette, new typefaces were recommended to align brandmark and brand materials, iconography and a tracing of architectural ornamentation were drawn to represent The Academy’s history and heritage across marketing and programming.

A brand essence proposition, titled Health as Human Rights, was presented to redefine the current and future work of the Academy.

Marking the anniversary of The Academy’s founding, new fellows and members were inducted in a short ceremony preceded with signifying discourse from a leading voice in public health.

Leaders across health sectors were invited to create more sustainable health systems capable of withstanding current and future challenges. The symposium featured two keynote speakers, two discussion panels, as well as morning/afternoon breakout workgroups on the topics of Best Practices for Systems Adaptation, Empowering Next-Gen Changemakers, Community Advocacy, and Health Systems Data, Tracking, & Evaluation.

A brand guidelines was written to introduce the refreshed identity and the overarching ideas that define NYAM.

A formal dinner was organized and hosted by NYAM, centering public health discourse and honoring individuals and organizations working on issues of Maternal Mortality, Supporting Youth, Gun Violence, Adult Wellness, Chronic Disease, Health Impact of Loneliness, Older Adult Resilience & Recovery, Ending Racism in Clinical Algorithms, and Climate Change Impact on Health.
